El Lago, a brilliant band from Texas, released their new EP “Pyramid” with the very atmospheric song of the same name.
Gentle, sincere vocals and moving melodies penetrate the track. The band shows quite an artistic approach by making enough room for the instrumental pieces to create such a scenic, dreamy picture. “Pyramid” makes you feel like you’re witnessing someone’s microcosm, and it’s marvelous, but you can only look at it through the peephole in a vintage door, which makes you crave more music like this. All tracks from the EP were built off of jams, and in spite of the lively energy that goes with it, there’s a certain element of charming yearning, infiltrating El Lago’s music.
