Genre: Neoclassical
“The Sunlit Night” is a fantastic instrumental piece from the indie movie of the same name starring Jenny Slate, Zach Galifianakis and Gillian Anderson out now on Apple TV.
Brilliant composer Enis Rotthoff created this theme to portray the main character’s journey from New York City to Lofoten, Norway. Without even knowing the story, solely through this wonderful music, you can feel the emotions, doubts, ups and downs of the character, and of course the moments of contemplation of the breathtaking beauty. The string chamber orchestra and contemporary synthesizers are absolutely mesmerizing in their lightness and playfulness. This short yet rich composition is full of airy sound, delightful spirit, and connection with nature. And this is everything we love about a score for an indie movie.
