Brooklyn-based collective FORAGER presents the brilliant and refreshing song “pieced” as part of their new double single “WDYGBR / pieced.”
This captivating track is a reinterpreted version of the band’s guitarist Jack Broza’s older song “Pieced Together,” an intricate mix of folk, soul, and jazz with electronic and psychedelic elements. In its new form, the composition feels more centered, polished and soft, as well as engrossingly dynamic. Melodically, “pieced” sounds like a neo soul-styled remix of an ‘80s song, which adds even more character to it. The delicate vocal performance is stunning in its shifts from warm to fiery tones.
