“Hue Mirror” is the absorbing title track from Chicago band Course’s upcoming album, to be released on streaming platforms on April 25.
Moving at a slow, meditative pace, the composition unfolds with inviting melodies. The softest piano and synths sprawl and fade like mist. With her gentle, lulling vocals, lead singer and songwriter Jess Robins expresses her experience with chronic pain. Although deeply melancholic, the song has a soothing effect.
