“The Wheel” is one of the excellent recent singles from Australian singer-songwriter Austin Mackay.
This sweet country tune shines with its warm sound and adhesive melodies. The light guitars, banjo, and piano dance to the gentle rhythm section. With his honeyed vocals, Mackay explores the themes of inner contradictions, growth and acceptance. And while the track carries a pleasant pensiveness, it nevertheless feels buoyant.
