“Carolina” is an excellent new single by The Montvales, the Cincinnati-based duo of Sally Buice and Molly Rochelson.
The song was created in the wake of Hurricane Helene and conveys hopelessness, as well as gratitude for people who come together in difficult times. This well-crafted folk / country track combines light dynamics and gentle nostalgia. The softest guitars and banjo accompany the band’s tender and sincere vocals. Pensive and absorbing, “Carolina” will be included on The Montvales’ upcoming album, “Path of Totality,” out on March 20.
