Portland, Oregon-based collective The Fourth Wall, led by songwriter Stephen Agustin, unveiled their absorbing new album, “Memories Of The Future,” with the excellent closing track “FUTURE MEMORY.”
Channelling an intriguing mix of nostalgia and existential wondering, the song sounds mesmerizing. The soaring, picturesque guitars and keys blossom to the dramatic drumming. At the same time, the warm and tender vocals add a perfect balance to the composition. Delivering lovely melodies and enthralling indie rock energy, the band reflects on “the future and the complications in actualizing or deferring our utopian imaginations.”
