Western Massachusetts-based collective Cloudbelly have presented a piercing new single from their upcoming album, “Throwing the Game,” out in November.
On “Phantom Lung,” the band immerses you in a wistful, cinematic atmosphere. The warm guitar and soaring strings weave the song’s structure. Vocalist Corey Laitman’s tender, sincere singing delves into the story of “profound friendship and the course of its poisoning.” With its enveloping sound and touching lyricism, the track feels enchanting.
